On a mountain behind the hotel there is a castle, the finest in Romania so I read somewhere. And it is pretty good apart from the fact that it appears to have been rebuilt from the ground up using modern concrete, probably they got EU funding for it. Observe the sort of bridge that you have to negotiate to get to the front door and notice that all the time you are on the bridge you are a sitting duck for archers defending the castle. Seems like a good arrangement to me, I'm surprised I haven't seen it before.
