The main lake is surrounded by dense woodland and after walking for a little while through glades of oak and beech, keeping my eyes open all the time for bears, I came across this secluded pool. The information boards assured me that there was a profusion of bears and wild boar to be seen, but I saw none. But then I've seen boards in the UK informing me that there are natterjack toads and great crested newts and never seen those either.
