I walked back from the salt mine at Praia to Sovata, it turned out to be rather more arduous than I had anticipated, the road was too fast and busy for comfort. In some places I walked parallel to the road along farmer's tracks. There are fields of potatoes and they are all infested with this little blighter. I'm glad we don't have them at the allotment, although I suspect a quick squint with some insecticide would sort them out. The effect on the crop is quite devastating.
